The Lloyd Hotel building in Amsterdam has endured many types of steps up and down its staircases over the last hundred years… from the weary tramping of eastern European immigrants on their way to South America in the 1920’s to the forced trudging of juvenile prisoners to the covert ambling of squatting artists, and now after its transformation into a hotel and cultural embassy in 2004, to the pleasant wanderings of unhurried hotel guests…
